Printmaking couldn't be easier than this! No carving, cutting or etching required for this simple lithography method. Unlike the relief or intaglio printing process, lithography is done from a flat surface using the repelling properties of oil and water. Polyester plates make the process even easier. Drawings or designs can be easily transferred to the printing plates. Step by step instruction will be given and student will go home with a small edition of prints. Students should come to class with a drawing, image or idea no larger than 6" x 8" to use for their plates. Printing plate, ink and printing paper will provided by instructor. See supply list for additional supplies needed.
